PREOPERATIVELY
The AquaVENT® FD140i can optimise oxygen levels during preoxygenation. Accompanied with the nasal cannula interface, anatomical dead space wash out is achieved to maximise alveoli recruitment. Heated and Humidified High Flow Oxygen Therapy during intubation should be considered best practice, proving particularly beneficial for hypoxemic patients, morbidly obese patients and patients with difficult airways.
INTRAOPERATIVELY
During shared airway surgeries, the AquaVENT® FD140i simplifies the scenario where the anaesthetist must ensure patent airway and ventilation while the surgeon performs the surgery within the same confined anatomical area. The utilisation of heated and humidified HFOT using the nasal cannula ensures smooth cooperation in this setting.
POSTOPERATIVELY
Postoperative HFOT with AquaVENT® FD140i enhances patient recovery, aided by a seamless transition to CPAP therapy using the included kit. Heated and humidified therapy improves patient comfort and helps prevent postoperative hypothermia, ultimately reducing hospital stays and enhancing healthcare efficiency.
